NOTE FROM EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, DAVID TICKNER

For those of you who have been wondering where the latest issue of reFRESH is - wonder no longer. It is out now.

I want to apologise to readers, subscribers and clients for this delay. The last couple of months has been a particularly challenging period for me - what started as a planned revamp with a new art director turned into a total nightmare that resulted in me having to completely replan our entire publishing cycle for the remainder of this year.

Thankfully peace has been restored, and our planned revamp looks fantastic thanks to the hard work and flair of our incumbent art director, Amanda Dorrington. We have lots of new editorial strands, some great features (we chat to Vice President of PETA Dan Mathews, talk gorgeous parties with the MD of Urban Caprice and celebrate the work of architect Philip Johnson), sexy photoshoots, new writers and a sizzling hot coverboy, Evan Wadle (shot by Wander Aguiar).

New Issue of reFRESH Magazine OUT NOW

The May/June Issue of reFRESH Magazine is OUT NOW and is entirely dedicated to celebrating new and emerging talent.

We have spoken to interior designers, bloggers, models, entertainers and fashion designers from all over the world. Interviews include: dancer, musician and performer Vincent Vanguard, music act Yeah Sparrow, bloggers YVY Mag and Ministry of Pleasure and interior designers Benjamin Hubert and Alain Gilles, fashion designer Dimitri Stavrou and talented twin hunks, The Caesar Twins.

Our cover boy for this issue is the handsome hunk Paul Francis who has been shot by photographer Frank Louis wearing the designers of the extremely talented Christopher Uvenio.

reFRESH Magazine celebrates Switzerland

Switzerland is the core theme of the new edition of reFRESH Magazine is out now.

It is the culmination of a six month working partnership with our friends at Switzerland Tourism in London and explores every aspect of this most diverse of countries.

 

Each of our regular editorial sections pays tribute to Switzerland in different ways, from a focus on Swiss fashion to a look at some of Switzerland’s most celebrated historical figures who have played a role in their LGBT history. There is also a major look at the forthcoming EuroPride 2009 celebrations that will be taking place in Zürich.

 

If that was not enough to whet your appetite we also have our regular culture and arts coverage, property news and interior design tips and the final part of our series on the Fashionable & Secret History of Gay Men’s clothes.

 

 

This issue also includes the first editorial piece by the lovely Jo Weil (Olli from Verbotene Liebe) who joined the magazine earlier this year as a columnist.

Our cover was shot by reFRESH favourite Dean Stockings and our cover boy is the very handsome Simone Lucioli who models a pair of Andrew Christian underwear.

reFRESH 54 (Jan/Feb 2009) Preview

Our first issue of the New Year hits the newsstands next week. Due to our unfortunate power cut prior to Christmas this issue was unavoidably delayed but we hope you enjoy our usual mix of culture, arts, entertainment, homes and interiors.

This is our Green Issue, featuring a wide variety of articles on eco-property, interiors, food & drink and fashion. We have interviews with musical superstar Will Young and new author Clayton Littlewood and a bigger, better fashion & style section.

Fashion photographer Greg Alexander shot the main fashion editorial on location in Paris and a whole host of globally renowned photographers (including Wander Aguiar, Jason Jaskot, Dean Stockings) make their picks for male models to keep an eye on in 2009. Our cover guy is hot new Croatian talent Danilo Vukcevic who has been shot by photographer Zoran Trifunovic.

reFRESH 53: Preview

The new issue of reFRESH Magazine will be hitting the newsstands shortly, but we're pleased to bring you a sneak preview of the front cover featuring the deliciously handsome Ethan Reynolds. We've followed Ethan's career over the past few years with interest, so a chat with him was long overdue. Aside from his career as web entrepreneur and model, Ethan has recently joined the cast of HERETV's popular series, The Lair. He gives us the inside track on the ups and downs he's experienced so far in his career.

We take a look at homoerotic stained glass with talented Italian stained glassmaker Diego Tolomelli and talk gay cinema with actor/producer Brent Gorski, the inspiration behind the recently release film, Holding Trevor. Dione van Heer catches up with world famous gay flamenco duo Carlos Rodriguez and Angel Rojas ahead of their show at Sadler's Wells.

Steven Gdula's serialisation on the fashionable and secret history of gay men's clothes reaches the 1970s and Arthur Wooten is still trying to shift the unwanted attentions of Henry in his regular letter, Dear Henry.

This issue also contains our annual photo project to showcase the work of emerging photographers. Last year our theme was The Twelve Days of Christmas - this year we made it a little more challenging by entering the realm of fairy tales. Participating photographers were given a fairy tale and asked for their interpretations - the results were most impressive. reFRESH 52: Advance Preview

Summer Fun for reFRESH 51

It's celebrating summer all the way with Issue 51 of reFRESH Magazine. The new issue hits the newsstands in the UK this week and is packed full of our usual mix of arts & culture, fashion & style and homes & interiors, providing a beautiful blue glossy for your coffee table!
